With the end of the 2022-2023 financial year approaching, some private health funds start a new year of dental entitlements. Unfortunately, these benefits do not rollover to the next financial year, they just reset meaning you will lose them. You have until June 30th 2023 to make the most of your dental benefits.
Coming for your regular two check-ups a year will help maximise what you get out of your health fund. Some health funds will only pay if the check-ups are 6 months or more apart, while others have no time limit in between as long as you do not exceed your twice-yearly limit.
Different policies will cover different dental services, ranging from general dental to major dental, and in some cases, popular cosmetic procedures such as Invisalign®. You could be covered for dental treatments you weren’t even aware of, so be sure to check your health fund for full details of your benefits.
